GST Service/Return
Policy
These
policies supersede policies appearing on all other GST
literature.
GST
represents hundreds of manufacturers. Return and exchange policies vary by
manufacturer. Many policies change per quarter. You may contact your GST
representative or the manufacturer for specific policies. The following is a
general policy that covers most manufacturers.
1.
All return-for-credit products must be sealed and returned with the original
sales slip within 7 days of purchase. Opened products are non-returnable.
Software is non-returnable, even if sealed.
2.
Computers being returned that have been powered-on can be returned
for repair only. Notebook computers are non-returnable once received.
3.
All returns must have a GST Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
number. A full description of the problem and a copy of the original
sales invoice should be provided with the return. You must obtain
an RMA number by calling (714) 572-8020 or through our website at
http://www.gstes.com under the
RMA section.
4.
Products failing within the 1st year GST warranty period are repair
only and must be returned to GST or the manufacturer directly. A
listing of manufacturer contact information (including technical
contacts) is provided (http://www.gstes.com/supportnumbers.asp)
under the Service section.
5.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
6.
Services and service parts carry a 30-day warranty. Service parts are
non-returnable. GST is not responsible for additional items returned or
installed by the customer or other service facilities.
7.
GST warranty does not cover software support, driver installation or repairs
required due to software revisions or upgrades.
7.
GST is not responsible for any data on equipment serviced by GST or its agents.
Customers are encouraged to make regular back-ups of their data.
8.
Products returned to GST for service where no trouble is found (NTF) are
subject to a $75.00 handling fee.
9.
Misuse or physical damage to any product voids the warranty. GST
provides all warranties on most products, unless specified by the
manufacturer.
10.
Interest at the current legal rate will be charged on all past due accounts.
Legal fees for the collection of past due accounts will be paid by the buyer.
11.
Special order products are non-returnable and require a 50% deposit.
12.
Policy variances are granted on a case-by-case basis and depend entirely on the
manufacturer’s ability to honor such a request. Contact your GST representative
if you wish to make such a request.
